Siddhartha Lieten

MD Lieten Siddhartha obtained his degree in medicine in 2004. Afterwards he trained as an internist with a subspecialization in Nephrology (2004-2011). In 2011-2012 he completed his postgraduate doctorate in geriatrics.

MD Lieten has been a doctor at the Geriatrics Department at the UZ in Brussels since 2012. In addition, he is also a study investigator for various pharmaceutical studies at the Geriatrics Department of his university hospital (UZ Brussel). In addition, MD Lieten is an internship supervisor and guides candidate specialists in their training. In addition, he is a guest professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the VUB and since the beginning of 2022 he is the head of Geriatric Department. He is a member of the Palliative Support Team of the UZ Brussel and the Medical Council (since 2018). He is also a member of the Belgian society Gerontology and Geriatrics and collaborates closely with the colleagues from other hospitals to share knowledge and expertise.
