Lisa Schwab

Lisa started her PhD in Gerontology in October 2025, after graduating from the research Master's in Gerontological Sciences (VUB). Her research focuses on the environmental and psycho-cognitive aspects of healthy ageing and functional health in older adults, drawing on psychology, neuroscience and gerontology, using quantitative methods. 

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (Maastricht University), a Master's degree in Neuropsychology (Utrecht University), and a research Master's degree in Gerontological Sciences (VUB). 

Main areas of interest:

• Functional health and healthy ageing
• Cognitive and psychological aspects of ageing
• Quantitative research on functioning in older populations
