What does she say about her PhD project?
As a life course psychologist and researcher, I aim to actively contribute to the well-being of older adults. I primarily seek to achieve this by listening, engaging in conversations, and learning from the experiences and wisdom that older adults have gathered throughout their life journeys. With my own research project, InFormeD (Informal and Formal Depression Care in Nursing Homes), I aim to develop a handy and straightforward tool that can assist caregivers in making an 'informed' decision regarding depression care. This involves taking into account various factors such as formal care, informal care (actions of both residents and their surroundings), and the potential barriers and facilitators to the implementation of a specific treatment.
